GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

{ SUBMISSIONS are CLOSED }

We accept submissions of fiction, creative nonfiction, essays, poetry, art, and photography. We are interested in many genres, and the subject matter does not need to be queer themed—we only ask that contributors identify as queer/LGBTQIA+. We do allow simultaneous submissions and previously published work. If the piece has been previously published, please inform us in your cover letter. If your piece is accepted elsewhere, simply leave a note on your submission that you are withdrawing that piece from consideration.

Please include title of work and type of work in the file name. If you are uncomfortable being published under your given name, you can be published under a pseudonym. Multiple submissions are welcomed, but we ask that you submit your highest quality pieces. Also, you must own the rights to any work you submit—it must be your own, original work.

Identifying information is hidden when we review submissions, so do not include your name on any page of your submitted work.

We generally respond to all submissions within 6 to 8 weeks after the posted submission deadline. Feel free to reach out to us after 8 weeks if you haven't heard anything.

We publish two issues a year(ish).

Prose

Prose stories must be under 3,500 words.

Poetry

Please submit between 1 and 6 poems in the same document on separate pages.

Poetry lines over roughly 57 characters may be split into two lines when published (due to page size). Please take this into consideration when submitting poetry.

Art and Photography

Art pieces must be of high-quality resolution of at least 300 DPI and not scanned. Lower quality versions can be submitted initially, but a high-quality version will be required upon acceptance.

Art pieces are printed full-bleed and may be cropped upon publication to fit the page size.
